After the iPhone … a Google Phone?
With no denials coming from Google, word of a possible Google handset are becoming subject to more speculation than mere gossip. TECH.BLORGE.com reports that there are rumors of Google showing a handset to manufacturers and carriers, though details about the actual device are left unknown.
With the bid for 700 MHz and Google’s stake in WiMAX, it makes sense that Google might move toward developing its own mobile device. A Google phone would enable users to essentially carry Google with them wherever they go, thus expanding its usability from home or office computers to the streets and on-the-go. In this increasingly mobile era, this would no doubt be a lucrative choice for Google–with WiMAX further facilitating the logistics.
