
Nexaira Wireless has released WiMAX support for its Business Class II and SOHO Router. Starting July 1, Nexaira will ship its BCII and SOHO routers that will be able to support WiMAX, 3G (EVDO, GPRS, HSPA+) or a combination of all in the same hardware f0rm factor. The products will support 4G networks from CLEAR and Sprint, along with the ability to switch between 3G and WiMAX.
“As WiMAX continues to deploy across North America, our customers want the versatility to utilize WiMAX networks to benefit from the increased speeds that WiMAX offers,” Rusty Wright, VP of Product Development at Nexaira, said, “At the same time, most of the country is covered using existing 3G technology which is why our BCII and SOHO router products offer the ability to mix and match any 3G and or 4G networks.”
Businesses can leverage speeds of up to 500 percent faster than EVDO revA networks using the WiMAX-powered Nexaira modems. In 4G markets, the ability to handle both 3G/4G allows business to use video conferencing, video surveillance, voice over IP with advanced speeds and reduced costs.
