Report on WiMax Subscribers in Pakistan

Wi-Tribe, a WiMax service provided launched in Pakistan in July 2009 announced its subscriber figures. It has brought 27,000 customers to its network in six months time. The company also reportedly added maximum customers per day after the recent advertisement went on-air in the country. Senior WiMax provider Wateen Telecom reported 200,000 subscribers.

It is worth mentioning that this figure has not been officially announced and that a recent press release indirectly quoted this figure. Additionally, Wateen celebrated its 100,000th customer in September 2009.
