
Yesterday, Saudi Arabian telecom company Etihad Atheeb launched its GO WiMax service in western Saudi city Al-Medina. This expands Etihad Atheeb’s current Saudi Arabia launch with Motorola.
“Broadband internet services ‘WiMAX’ is an ideal solution that meets the needs for the people in Al Medina, GO WiMAX requires no waiting period or a land line, And the WiMAX nomadic feature will enable them to enjoy broadband internet at any place within GO network coverage,” said Etihad Atheeb CEO Dr. Ahmed bin Abbas Sindi.
GO WiMax will be accessible for users in Rashid Mall Center, International Mall and Aaliah Mall.

Achievement is commendable, but it would get further momentum if the reach of coverage umbrella is not limited to shopping malls
Well if it is anything like Go in Riyadh the service will be rubbish. In Riyadh most people think Go is a joke.

GO WIMAX is pathetic. Poor technical support! Technical support representatives very rude, technically zero, sometimes even hang up call on customer.
No second level of support. You cannot even complain to higher authorities. Signal is very week in most part of Riyadh. The firmware of motorola modem which they provide with connect is poor. Sometime it hangs, sometime reboots automatically, you cannot even default password of the modem for security purpose. If you call technical support for any help on modem, they will simply say, don’t touch the modem otherwise it will not work. Anyways, it doesn’t work even if you keep it untouched. I have never seen such a poor technical support from any other company.
