LTE
The LTE acronym stands for Long Term Evolution and designates the latest step toward the 4th generation (4G) of radio technologies. It is the successor to the current generation of UMTS 3G technology, based upon WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, and HSPA standards. LTE is not replacing UMTS, but rather updating the existing technology in order to provide significantly faster data speeds for both uploading and downloading of voice data and general data.
