Real Time Tracking
Real time tracking refers to updated geo-locational information sent to the user on a regular basis while the GPS tracker is turned on. A real time tracking device shares its position every few seconds or minutes depending on its settings and helps monitoring the location and operating status of any equipped vehicle or asset in real-time and in a continuous manner. Real Time tracking can go up to several days/weeks, depending on the battery life of the product. On the opposite, passive trackers store the position data during their activation time and the user needs to retrieve the data from the tracker itself, usually over a USB connection.
